മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് മാതൃശിശു സംരക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ പ്രസവത്തിനായി പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച ഭാര്യയ്ക്ക് കൂട്ടിരിക്കാൻ എത്തിയതാണ് വിനു പ്രസാദ്. മരണത്തിൽ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് പൊലീസ് കേസെടുത്ത് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. മൃതദേഹം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലെ മോർച്ചറിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.
