മലപ്പുറം: കൊണ്ടോട്ടിയിൽ കടല തൊണ്ടയിൽ കുടുങ്ങി മൂന്നുവയസുകാരന് ദാരുണാന്ത്യം. കുന്നുംപുറം ചെങ്ങാനി കാരാട്ടാലുങ്ങൽ വെല്ലക്കാടൻ മുനീർ–ഫർസീന ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകനായ മുഹമ്മദ് റിസാനാണ് മരിച്ചത്. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെ മിക്സ്ചർ കഴിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ റിസാന് ശ്വാസതടസം നേരിട്ടതിനെത്തുടർന്ന് കുന്നുംപുറത്തെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. വിദഗ്ധ ചികിത്സ നൽകിയിട്ടും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല.
മിക്സ്ചറിലെ കടല അബദ്ധത്തിൽ തൊണ്ടയിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയതാണ് മരണകാരണമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർമാർ അറിയിച്ചു. റിസാന്റെ സംസ്കാരം കുന്നുംപുറം കാരാട്ടാലുങ്ങൽ ജുമാ മസ്ജിദിൽ നടന്നു.

A three-year-old boy, Mohammed Rizan, died after a peanut from a mixture snack became lodged in his throat while he was eating at Kondotty in Kerala’s Malappuram district. He developed severe breathing difficulty and was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite receiving specialized treatment, doctors were unable to save him. Doctors said the cause of death was choking after the peanut got stuck in his airway. He was the son of Muneer and Farseena of Chengani, Kunnumpuram, and was laid to rest at the Karattalungal Juma Masjid in Kunnumpuram.
