പൂണെ ∙ പ്രയാഗ്‌രാജിലെ ത്രിവേണി സംഗമത്തില്‍ പുണ്യസ്നാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ ഹൃദയാഘാതം സംഭവിച്ച് സോളാപ്പൂര്‍ മുന്‍ മേയറും എന്‍സിപി (എസ്പി) നേതാവുമായ മഹേഷ് കോഥെ (60) അന്തരിച്ചു. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ഏഴരയോടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.

മകരസംക്രാന്തിയോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച നടന്ന ‘ഷാഹി സ്നാന’ത്തിൽ (അമൃതസ്നാനം) പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മഹേഷ് കോഥെയ്ക്ക് ഹൃദയാഘാതമുണ്ടായത്. ഉടൻ തന്നെ ചികിത്സ ലഭ്യമാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. മഹേഷ് കോഥെയുടെ മൃതദേഹം ഇന്ന് സോളാപ്പൂരിലെത്തിക്കും. മഹേഷ് കോഥെയുടെ മരണത്തിൽ എന്‍സിപി (എസ്പി) ശരദ് പവാർ അനുശോചനം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.
