ബെംഗളൂരു∙ കോൺഗ്രസിനോട് അനുഭാവം പുലർത്തുന്ന 2 എംഎൽഎമാരെ അയോഗ്യരാക്കാൻ കർണാടക ബിജെപി നീക്കം തുടങ്ങി. എസ്.‍ടി.സോമശേഖർ, ശിവറാം ഹെബ്ബാർ എന്നിവരോട് വിശദീകരണം ചോദിച്ചശേഷം അയോഗ്യരാക്കാൻ സ്പീക്കർക്ക് കത്തെഴുതാനാണു തീരുമാനം. ബി.എസ്.യെഡിയൂരപ്പയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടി 2019ൽ കോൺഗ്രസിൽനിന്ന് കൂറുമാറി ബിജെപിയിൽ എത്തിയവരാണ് ഇരുവരും. 

രാജ്യസഭാ തിര‍‌ഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ‌ സോമശേഖർ കോൺഗ്രസിന് വോട്ടു ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ശിവറാം ഹെബ്ബാർ വിട്ടുനിന്നിരുന്നു. ലോക്സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ കോൺഗ്രസിനു വേണ്ടി സോമശേഖർ പരസ്യമായി രംഗത്തിറങ്ങി. ബസനഗൗഡ പാട്ടീൽ യത്നലിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ എംഎൽഎമാർ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വിജയേന്ദ്രയെ എതിർക്കുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് അച്ചടക്ക നടപടിയെന്നതും ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.
